The Extra Mural Sport Programme on offer is listed below and the success of this structured and organized programme provides our pupils with the ideal opportunity to develop the related skills that they may be interested in.
The Open Air swimming pool is the home of Sycamore Academy swimming and the Dokkies Complex provides excellent Soccer, Netball and Athletics facilities. In addition, regular Netball and Soccer fixtures against other schools are arranged and enjoyed by our pupils. Our pupils participate in the Athletics programme which culminates in an Inter-House sports day. Our families are also furnished with an extensive list of outside clubs that offer a wide variety of additional extra mural sports, that a child may wish to participate in.

In addition to the swimming instruction offered during the First and Fourth term Physical Education lessons, pupils wishing to excel in this discipline, may wish to join one of the Swimming Clubs that operate in the greater Durban area. Our aim is to ensure that each child becomes a competent swimmer and thus be able to meet the challenges that this lifeskill may bring.

In addition to the Sycamore Academy soccer programme, Stella Football Club, which adjoins Bulwer Park in Helen Joseph Road (Davenport), provides boys and girls the opportunity to participate in the much-loved sport of soccer. Parents wishing to enrol their children at Stella for the second and third term soccer programmes are asked to contact our Sycamore Academy Administration staff, for further information.
