Classes are small and the education is personal. The teacher knows her students and can easily tailor their efforts to individual needs. Despite the challenges that came with the virus that hit our country, the school made sure the learning process went smoothly. Our two older children went to Sycamore as well, and we are extremely happy with the amount of attention the teachers have with each child in helping them cope with learning process."

Tehilla started school at Sycamore Christian Academy in January 2020. What I have observed as the year progressed is: development in sense of responsibility, though she is not there yet but she has improved a lot. Her reading skills have also improved, she likes reading so much and is even so fluent. When I want to finish quickly what needs to be read, I give the reading to her to read aloud to me. She reads books and narrates to me what the book is about. I thank Miss Kemp, her teacher, for continued support and making sure she has made enormous progress. Thanks to Mr Ardé, the Principal, for making sure that there is transparency and communication. Mr Ardé is an experienced Principal who knows all the learners and their progress, I have been pleasantly surprised how good Sycamore Academy is as a school.

"Sycamore Christian Academy is a warm, friendly, and caring school where I am so privileged to have my Son attend. Since being fortunate enough to be accepted at the school in 2019, he has developed exponentially emotionally, socially, and academically. I have received more constructive feedback and insight from the educators and management about my Son, than from any other educational professional I have engaged with. My son changed schools after attending another school for four years. He is always incredulous at how friendly the children and staff are at SCA. "

"I wish every school was like Sycamore, as every child would benefit from its warm and inviting environment. They stress kindness, generosity and also being respectful to others. They encourage learners like no other school. I cannot say enough good things about the school. The improvement in my grandson Mangaliso's reading and writing are unbelievable. Thank you so much to Mrs Leach, the librarian, who helped my grandson, when he was still really battling. She was very patient with him and really knew what she was doing. I have only but praise for the young, vibrant, and assertive class teacher, Mrs Redlinghys for the enormous and important work she is doing with my grandson. Mangaliso is particularly fond of the Afrikaans teacher Mrs B, and he comes home excited about the new Afrikaans vocabulary. I must also mention the isiZulu teacher Ms Mhlanga for a good job well done. What can be a better sign of an excellent school than that when a child wants to wake up in a cold rainy morning and go to school! I cannot rate Sycamore Academy high enough and thank them for their efforts."

"We are thankful for Sycamore Academy for educating all our 3 children. Two of them have finished school and have full time jobs. Riam, our youngest, is still at Sycamore. We appreciate the transparent feedback about Riam, both positive and negative because this helps us to "bend the reed straight" while it is still young. This has helped us the most and the schooling and follow up is excellent. It was most impressive that the school adapted quickly to the COVID-19 lockdown, allowing Riam to continue his schoolwork online. "

When we looked at all the top schools in our area, we were impressed with Sycamores ability to provide premium education for our children, this with smaller classes in an environment where they felt safe to grow and be guided. We have had the privilege of seeing our children grow in this school and look forward to continuing our relationship with Sycamore as it continues to build on the strong ethic and moral foundation it was founded on.
